How long will redness last after the Halo laser?

Redness generally increases in intensity for the first few days and will be the most intense on day 3. Redness can persist for up to 7 days depending on the person.

Will I be swollen after my treatment?

Swelling is very common after this procedure. You may use cold compresses to help with this as well as sleeping with your head elevated the first night. Swelling will subside over the first few days.

Is it normal that my face feels warm?

It is common for the treated areas to feel warm. This can last for about 12-24 hours after the treatment.

When will my skin peel?

The texture of the skin will start to change after 2-3 days. There may be dark spots and a sandpaper texture. The skin will then flake and peel. The peeling process may take 5-7 days to complete. Peeling on the neck or chest can take up to two weeks to peel completely.

What can I take for discomfort after the treatment?

You may take over the counter pain medications such as Ibuprofen or Tylenol.

Why is my skin itchy?

This is a normal sign of healing. DO NOT scratch the treated area as scarring and pigmentation can occur. You may take antihistamines to help with the itching.
