How Does SkinPen Microneedling Work?
Microneedling treatments are performed at our med spa offices in Chicago, IL and typically take 30 – 60 minutes. Before starting, our providers will apply numbing cream or another form of anesthesia to limit any possible discomfort from your procedure. When you're ready, we'll pass the SkinPen over the treatment area, creating deep channels in your skin. Afterward, we may apply vitamin-rich serums or other products to nourish your skin. Finally, we'll finish by applying a moisturizing sunscreen to protect your newly refreshed skin as it heals.

The care I've gotten here has been great! I see Jessica Weniger, PA, for injections and she is wonderful. Very friendly and considerate, and I don't know what I'll do if she ever leaves because I can't trust anyone else to do my lips and Botox! She's very experienced and it's been about 2 years now of multiple rounds of each and I've never had a bad outcome. 10/10. They also give northwestern and Lurie employee discounts which is great, and host events where you can come watch demonstrations. I very recently got a microneedling session done as I purchased one of their seasonal specials and I'm still evaluating the results but the experience itself was great I had Ana Ibarra and it felt very thorough, I'm really hoping it works for my skin and so far it feels like it is! This spa uses a topical numbing cream that works super well so for all procedures I hardly feel it, even the lips which are supposed to be super painful (hopefully they keep it around so I never have to know!). Overall, if you're going to get something done that has the risk for injury or damage- go to somewhere you can trust with experienced and certified providers, and I would say this office is a good place for that, don't go somewhere cheap and sketchy and risk regretting it.
