How Are BodyTite Treatments Performed?
BodyTite is performed in-office at our Chicago, IL location and usually takes 1 – 2 hours. We'll start by numbing the area with lidocaine and epinephrine. After that, we'll make an incision in your skin and carefully insert the BodyTite wand, gently guiding it to the fatty deposits you wish to eliminate. At the same time, we'll pass an external applicator over the surface of the skin to transmit current and liquefy unwanted fat, which will then be suctioned out. The heat used during the fat elimination will tighten your connective tissue and skin for instant skin contraction. BodyTite treatments usually take about 30 – 45 minutes per area, and you may need multiple treatments to gain the full benefits.
We typically perform BodyTite treatments at Northwestern Specialists in Plastic Surgery in combination with liposuction, but this will depend on how much fat you want to remove from the treatment area. We'll discuss which approach is ideal for you during your consultation.

I had such a pleasant experience with Dr. Simon and the whole team! He’s very knowledgeable, kind, and meticulous. He educated me on why I should or shouldn’t do certain procedures (example - I don’t love my neck but it’s due to my tongue placement and there’s no surgical procedure that can be done. I did joke that we should just remove my tongue). He was realistic and answered all my questions.
