Dr. Moradian earned his medical degree with honors from the Ross University School of Medicine. After that, he completed 4 years of general surgery residency, followed by 5 years of plastic surgery residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, graduating from the hospital's plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery program as chief resident and at the top of his class.
Throughout his distinguished training, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to advancing surgical techniques, authoring over 30 surgical manuscripts and 14 textbook chapters on aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Additionally, Dr. Moradian devoted a year of focused research during his surgical residency at the world renowned Center for Bionic Medicine at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab in Chicago, IL. There, he contributed to groundbreaking advancements in bio-prosthetics, pioneering technology that enables amputees to control bone-anchored prosthetics through neural pathways, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in advanced prosthetic care. His aesthetic and reconstructive expertise has earned him numerous awards and accolades, with his work showcased at prestigious national and international conferences.
Dr. Moradian is also deeply committed to global health and has actively participated in multiple mission trips to extend his expertise and compassion to underserved communities.
Dr. Moradian specializes in facial aesthetics, reconstructive surgery (including facelifts, lip lifts, and more), and body contouring procedures (including liposculpture and tummy tucks). He has contributed to dozens of publications, and book chapters on both reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries. He has been recognized for his scientific contributions to the world plastic surgery and honored through multiple awards. Dr. Moradian played a pivotal role in securing an $9 million Department of Defense grant to advance research in bio-prosthetics, helping pioneer the integration of machine-human interface prosthetics. Through this work he has helped pave the groundwork for the future development of an Ortho-Plastic Reconstruction department at Northwestern memorial Hospital, dedicated to supporting amputees in the near future. He has also won multiple awards for his cutting edge research at multiple national and international meetings on a variety of topics, including abdominoplasty, complex facial cosmetic surgery, amputation and and advanced bio-prosthetics.
Outside of his work, Dr. Moradian played water polo in college, enjoys astronomy, music, golf, traveling, staying fit, and learning new languages.
Dr. Moradian was phenomenal before, during, and after my procedure. Before the procedure, Dr.Moradian was able to answer all of my questions and alleviated my concerns. His care and attention to detail during the procedure had me feeling confident about the future of my results. After the surgery, he set me up with a successful post-op regimen as well as followed up with me to make sure everything was healing correctly. I am only 4 months out and I have my ideal stomach. Absolutely incredible experience. Dr. Simon Moradian is one of the kindest and most professional doctors I have ever had the pleasure of working with. 8 weeks ago I underwent a breast reduction and I was of course terrified. I essentially offloaded a small newborn from my chestal region, and he was there every single step of the way. Now that I have been through this process, I cannot imagine having any other doctor. I am so grateful for whatever stars aligned to connect me with Dr. Moradian and his whole entire time. From the guidance over the phone when I first called to the insurance approval, and any time I have needed support or an appointment. He and the whole staff really come through for you. They are kind, patient, and have great bedside manner. They've gone above and beyond for me more than once. They should be the standard for any experience like this. Shout out to the entire team! I am still healing and have a ways to go but I feel so supported and cared for. Any fears I had were always assuaged by the professional and knowledgeable Dr. Moradian. I have a friend who also utilized this clinic for her reduction and she spoke highly of her experience with another doctor there. Grateful every day that my search led me here! Had DCF rhinoplasty with Dr. Schierle, Dr. Moradian, and Monica in Dec of 2024. Definitely THE best experience I had ! The consultation was personalized, you could tell they are some of the best surgeons in the game. I never had any surgeries, so I was very nervous. But they made the process so smooth. I loved the results so much. They kept my natural beauty and elevated the new nose to complement my face better. Even some of my close friends wanted to book a consultation with them after seeing my new nose! 100000/10 recommend!
Simon was phenomenal. I decided at age 16 to gauge my ears and stretched them far beyond the point of them closing on their own. I am getting married and wanted to be able to wear regular earrings for the first time in 20 years. Simon came to rescue after I was quoted waaaaay too much from another surgeon that basically wanted to cut my ears that day without letting them heal on their own and told me he could inject them with filler after they healed (like, WHAT?) Simon was so thorough and patient during our consultation and even more so during the actual procedure. He let my ears close naturally for a while to avoid removing too much tissue so they would look normal and healthy after they healed. EVERYONE is shocked (including me) that they look so good. You would never know that I had enormous holes in my ears for 20 years. 10/10 recommend for any procedure.
Dr. Moradian performed an incredible job! He’s one of the sweetest and compassionate doctors/surgeons I’ve ever encountered. He made me feel incredibly comfortable and relieved, putting all my anxieties to rest. I underwent a transaxillary breast augmentation, and I’m thrilled with the results. All of my friends and family are blown away by my outcome. I have a new sense of confidence that has changed my life. While I was in my recovery room, Dr. Moradian not only took care of me but also spoke to my family and answered all their questions. He exudes a sense of safety and ensures that you receive the best possible outcomes. He took the time to personally check up on me and kindly encouraged me to reach out to him.
